Most of the restaurants in St. Helier rely on local finance workers and business people for much of their trade.
So, this month here's our suggestion for the best restaurant for a business lunch to impress.
BOHEMIA RESTAURANT
In the few months that this stylish restaurant and bar has been open, it is already regarded by most locals as the best food in Jersey.
Some of the dishes we've eaten here compare with meals we've eaten in top London and New York restaurants. The presentation is spectacular, the quality of ingredients used is high and the steak sandwich on the bar menu is one of the best we've ever eaten.
Everything about the restaurant shows care and thought and a passion for food. A very welcome addition to the local dining scene and commendably raising standards for everyone.

WHAT'S HOT:
BOHEMIA RESTAURANT- In terms of the quality of food served on your plate this is the best restaurant in Jersey.
THE OLIVE BRANCH - The best Italian restaurant in Jersey with wood burning ovens producing fantastic pizzas. The pasta is freshly prepared and cooked to order and there is a spacious bar area with large, comfy sofas to relax in before or after your meal. For dessert, try the basil and lemon sorbet, it is delicious!
WHAT'S NOT:
ATLANTIQUE SEAFOOD BAR- You would think being located in the Fish Market would mean this would be the best seafood restaurant in St. Helier, it isn't!
BAR 10- Under new management but the restaurant is still small and it shares a main entrance with Poundworld! Service is not great, the food is O.K and overall the restaurant lacks ambience. The tiny basement bar allows smoking, which in a small enviroment like this means on the few occasions the bar is busy you can hardly breathe..
BISTRO CENTRAL- The kind of place Del Boy in 'Only Fools and Horses' would think was posh. For those of you not familiar with British comedy shows, it's average food at inflated prices and usually busy with estate agents, insurance salesmen and people who have wandered off the high street thinking this is a good French style bistro. Well, if you've eaten in French bistros you are going to be disappointed.
BLUE FISH CAFE- It started well enough a few years ago but has got steadily more expensive whilst the service is often sloppy and the coffee is awful.
LE CHAMBERTIN- We've had good meals here in the past but a couple of recent meals were mediocre and the service can be appalling.

Recommended by the Good Food Guide for the third consecutive year.
The restaurant has a well chosen-and reasonably priced- wine list and probably the best value Sunday lunch on the island. There is a large al fresco area with magnificent views over St. Aubin's Bay but if the sun isn't shining you can still enjoy the amazing outlook from inside through the large windows overlooking the beach just a few yards away.
The food is always beautifully presented and high quality local ingredients are used extensively. When we have friends visit the island, this is the restaurant we take them to.

OPENING TIMES: Closed Sunday evening and all day Monday.
OUR RATINGS:
FOOD- 8/10
WINE - 9/10
SERVICE- 8/10
AMBIENCE-9/10
VALUE-9/10

Most town centre restaurants are usually busy at lunchtime with local finance workers and so generally standards are high, this month our featured restaurant is The Olive Branch:
THE OLIVE BRANCH
The best Italian restaurant in Jersey with wood burning ovens producing wonderful pizzas. The pasta is freshly prepared and cooked to order and there is a large bar area with comfy sofas to relax in before or after your meal.
It's also fantastic value for the standard of food which is probably why whenever we visit it's busy with local Italian restauranteurs!
